After a few years working in roles with various responsibilities in accounting, I retrained as a data analyst. My former work experience has familiarized me with day-to-day business operations, and because I was constantly coordinating with others to promptly provide deliverables, it taught me time management and teamwork. I also discovered that I’m skilled at explaining things to others.

However, I didn’t see myself in accounting long-term. Instead, my natural curiosity and knack for problem-solving led me to the data analytics field. Data visualization has allowed me to flex my creative muscles by designing complex charts and graphs that are nonetheless accessible to everyone.

While I’m enthusiastic about every step in the data discovery process, I am especially passionate about using data to provide actionable recommendations that will improve business processes. It gives me a feeling of satisfaction almost equivalent to placing the last few pieces in a jigsaw puzzle. With my new technical skills, I’m looking for a data analyst position which will allow me to explore and analyze data to solve business challenges.
